Anthem Golf & Country Club
Residents of Anthem Golf & Country Club enjoy not one but two championship 18-hole, par-72 private courses designed by Greg Nash: The Persimmon and The Ironwood. The dedicated, hands-on designer carefully crafted and oversaw the interweaving of these multi-tiered courses with the stunning, pristine Sonoran desert. The Persimmon debuted in 1999; among its many accolades it was rated by Golf Digest as the 14th best course in Arizona, and by Desert Golf as the 10th best private course in the Valley (Phoenix area). Professional golf instruction is available along with four separate putting and chipping greens and a two-way driving range. A third championship golf course is planned.
Amenities include fine dining at both the Ironwood and Persimmon Bar & Grille, both with indoor and outdoor seating; two fitness clubs offering nutritional and spa services and staffed with professional trainers and massage therapists; and resort-style pools. Fun for the whole family includes such programs as Junior Golf and Junior Tennis. Kids will also enjoy Anthem’s Big Splash Water Park with its water slides, 25-meter lap pool, and scuba-diving lessons, and the Anthem Community Center, where they can climb a three-story rock wall, take a fun class, or attend a concert.
The gated community was masterfully designed to preserve the natural surroundings while providing a luxurious blend of gorgeous craftsmanship and practical efficiencies.
Currently there are 1,600 homes, with 4,000 expected, ranging from 1,023 to 4,320 square feet and priced from $251,900 to $666,900. Homeowners in Anthem Country Club community are automatic social club members whose dues guarantee reduced greens fees and preferential tee times at both golf courses.
