Firethorne CC, Waxhaw
The center of Firethorne Country Club is its natural setting. The course winds through a mature forest consisting of native Carolinian hardwoods and complimented by creeks and beautiful views. Firethorne is rated among Charlotte’s best gold courses and is considered a must play.
Designed by Tom Jackson, this course offers something for every skill level of player. His design incorporates a beautiful compliment to nature and is home to the 2003 Wachovia Championship Qualifier. The course and the 22,000 square foot meeting facilities can accommodate from 8 to 200 people. With full catering menus available from boxed lunches to seated rib eye dinners, the culinary arts are an added feature to any tournament.
Additional amenities include swimming and tennis facilities. There are four swimming pools which support a swim tea, and a 135’ water slide. This is one of the clubs most popular amenities. Club memberships are complete with eight Har-Tru and offer clinics, USTA match play and a professional tennis staff.
Homes are carefully planned, offering lot sizes from ¾ to 1 ¼ acres. Placed among the serenity of the countryside on heavily wooden lots and built on 396 acres of rolling topography, home values range from $600,000 to $1.5 million. Custom homes can be accommodated by nine individual pre-approved builders.
