Grand Traverse Resort and Golf Community
Grand Traverse Resort and golf community is in Traverse City, Michigan. It was opened in the 1970’s and is located in the northwestern portion of Lower Michigan on 900 acres of woodland with views of the Grand Traverse Bay. Golfing is offered in the spring, the summer and the fall with many special priced packages until the snow flies.
Grand Traverse offers three 18 hole courses. The Wolverine, The Bear, designed by Jack Niklaus and Spruce Run, designed by Gary Player are all on the grounds. The Bear offers three tees for varying levels of golfers. A golf school is also available by registration.
The resort offers a pool, a spa, a fitness room and tennis courts. Children’s activities are scheduled during the day and evenings. A restaurant provides gourmet dining. The facilities are available for banquets and private parties.
The housing community is expanding. Housing is available for single families in the range of $100,000 to $650,000. Homes in the community include condos, two story, traditional, log cabins and ranch style layouts.
Traverse City, Michigan offers a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment for every lifestyle. Spectacular views of the Grand Traverse Bay and Lake Michigan are plentiful throughout the entire area. Casual, fine and family dining establishments are within a short drive from the resort.
