Hernando Oaks is a residential, gates golf community located north of Tampa Bay, Florida, on 626 acres. Hernando Oaks offers residents an active small town atmosphere with access to nearby Brooksville and Tampa.
In the next year, Hernando Oaks will continue to fulfill the vision of developer, Ronald Dunston. Dunston envisions a community that offers modern amenities, but with the small town feel and charm of Brooksville. Two pedestrian town centers are in the works that will offer an array of retail, commercial and professional space. These town centers will complete the “village-concept� of the Hernando Oaks community.
Hernando Oaks offers residents a variety in terms of residential options. For buyers that wish for less maintenance, but that do not want to live in a condo, single and two-story villas are available. In addition, custom and estate-style homes are available for those with more traditional country club living.
At the heart of Hernando Oaks is the golf course. A regulation, 18 hole course winds through the country club acreage. The course layout is unique in its direction as designers sought to use the natural prevailing southwest winds in the course. Par 3’s and 5’s are routed in opposite directions in consideration of the winds. With five sets of tees, golfers of all skill and experience levels can enjoy the course. Near the clubhouse, the course offers a putting green and driving range for warm up or improvement of your game. As a part of the community, the clubhouse, upon completion in 2006, will act as a hub of the Hernando Oaks community.
