[...] As you already know we are looking to purchase a home and settle our roots here in Virginia. We’ve looked at a lot of different types of communities. There are a few golf homes communities around here. We didn’t have this type of community in the area we moved from up north. These are large communities with recreation built right into them in the form of a golf course, and often several parks with playgrounds and trails to walk on. Not too long ago we looked at a house in the Kingsmill on the James community. Kingsmill is only a few minutes away from where we live now in Newport News. Beautiful community with gorgeous green yards like you see on television and wonder how they did that. Unfortunately the large three, four, and even five bedroom homes in this community ended up being a little out of our price range, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting to live there. We even looked into renting or buying a condo as an alternative to buying a single family home in the community. It would keep up close to things we enjoy like going to Colonial Williamsburg, and Busch Gardens Europe. We haven’t ruled out the condo yet, but at this point with the boys we think it’s better to purchase a single family residence and not have any attached neighbors. [...]
