Northgate Country Club is a prestigious golf course community located on 430 acres in Houston, Texas. Northgate was established in 1984. Northgate was designed as a place where the elegant aspect of golfing was combined with the elegant aspect of living. The greens at Northgate Country Club are meticulously maintained. Designed by von Hagge and Devlin, the Northgate golf course has 27 holes. There are plenty of natural challenges presented from the bermed fairways to the water hazards every level of player can gain something from this golf course.
Those who seek other outdoor activities may like the extensive Northgate tennis program. Both social and competitive play can be found on the tennis courts at Northgate. The warm weather in Houston allows for year round play for men, women, and children of all ages.
The tennis center at Northgate is two stories. It contains a Pro Shop with all the equipment and brand name tennis attire you’ll need. There is a private party room as well as a deck where spectators can view games and watch practice matches as they occur.

Weddings, business functions, bar mitzvahs, and other personal celebrations have been hosted in the private reception area which can accommodate 350 guests. There are several community events which as also hosted in the clubhouse including brunches, tree trimming during the Christmas season, balls, and more. Both a la carte and prepared full course meals are available through the kitchen, and daily meals are served at the clubhouse grill.
There are several different residential areas which make up one large community surrounding the Northgate golf course. Spanning 218 acres the homes surrounding the country club can be purchased custom built or in ready to move-in condition. The homes at Northgate are the highest quality homes which are beautifully built providing luxury living to all of its residents.
Currently, there are 90 pre-existing homes which have been custom-built. The views from the windows of these homes show the lush forests surrounding them as well as some of the best views of the Northgate golf course and country club. The specific communities available for purchase include:
- The Estates (Fairway Estates) offer between 21,000 and 38,000 square feet of living space. These homes are located along the golf fairways, and can only be accessed through gated entry
- Section One offers lots where homes can be built. Each lot is around 18,000 square feet. There are 91 lots available currently.
- The Woods offers lots for purchase spanning 12,000 square feet. There are 40 lots available at this time.
- The Greens offer exclusive garden homes developed on 22 lots. These homes have golf course views.
- The Village offers lots between 13,000 and 19,000 square feet specifically on holes #2 and #3 of the Bridges Golf Course at Northgate. Views of the course as well as a nearby pond and fountain can be found here.
- Ville Verde is located on the golf course. Specifically on the 7th and 8th holes, these homes contain courtyards, Italianate architecture, and gated enclaves. There are 40 homes with five different floor plans to choose from.
