Oak Valley, Advance
Located in the Piedmont Triad Region of central North Carolina, Oak Valley is the only Arnold Palmer designed golf course in Winston Salem. Created on land purchase from an old dairy farm, the course exemplifies the topographical foothills of the piedmont region.
Open to the public everyday, the club has several categories of membership. This is a great community with an affordable club. The community with 650 acres of course and elegant homes among long fairways houses play parks, sports fields, swing sets, and real neighborhood feeling. The homes run from $180,000 to over $1 million offering value at both ends of the custom home market.
In addition to golf and lovely homes, there is a private Tennis and Swim Club on the property complete with 25 meter and kiddy pool. Residents need only to pay dues if they plan on using the facilities. At a mere $300 for the entire pool season (which lasts from May 1 to Sept 30) this is a great, inexpensive way to spend the summer. The pool also has a one meter diving board, deck chairs and tables for relaxing after your game.
Although this community is affordable, it is in no way “cheap”. The cost of living is very reasonable in this area and Oak Valley is one of the nicest places to live.
