Located roughly 45 minutes from noisy downtown Myrtle Beach, this club community is a serene, single family planned community that still allows for easy beach access. Billed as elegant living that is still affordable, this course was originally designed by Ellis Maples and Ed Seay and known as the well established Wellman Golf Course earning honors in South Carolina’s Golf Digest’s “Places to Play�. Wellman has also hosted Nike Tour qualifying tournaments. The Persimmon Fields community is a new addition to the course.
In addition to the golf course, residents can enjoy walking trails with “Fit-Trail� system, picnic and play areas, a recently redesigned and renovated club house, swimming pool, work out center and two tennis courts. In addition to a bar and a pro-shop, the club house has more than adequate banquet facilities. Home owners and club members also receive rights to play two additional Southern Links Courses: The Links at Lakewood and Sumter National Golf Club, offering golfers a change of pass.
