Raveneaux Country Club Spring, Texas
Bob Von Hagge is known for his exquisite Golf Course designs. Having designed the original golf course for Raveneaux Country Club and the addition of a second, new course by Ken Kavannaugh, has ensured Raveneaux’s place in the lap of luxury in terms of golf course communities. Both golf architects saw how beautiful Spring, Texas was and rather than demolishing the natural habitat they worked around it offering a unique golfing experience to any who play.
Raveneaux is home to every type of golfer from children to seniors. There are many programs for golfers of all levels and ages and the year-round golfing program offers tournaments for Men, Ladies, and Junior golfers.
The original, Von Hagge course offered incredible challenges proving random elevation changes from one hole to the next, tight fairways, water barriers, and other bunkers to ensure skills improve with each game. The new course is even more difficult than the original course. Players are expected to be precise on every shot with multiple elevations and plenty of challenges to ensure every club is used per game. The new course, while fiercer, is also shorter in length.
If practice is needed there are numerous practice tees at the driving range as well as a massive area for chipping and pitching greens spanning 10,000 square feet. There is also a large putting green to ensure continued improvement is made. The clubhouse at the Raveneaux Golf Course offers plenty of friendly advice and training, as well, and every member of the staff is trained at the PGA level.
The clubhouse is a sight to see as it encompasses 60,000 square feet. There are plenty of events planned all year round and even when there aren’t events there is a room for dancing as well as multiple dining venues. The private locker rooms (for Men & Women) offer private yet casual dining experiences as does the main room Grande Café. Formal dining is also available at the Windows Restaurant. Finally, the clubhouse offers a pro shop with the latest brand names in golfing equipment and clothing allowing the purchase of everything needed for an intense game.
The adventurous and athletic may become members of the Raveneaux Racquetball Club. There is a professional racquetball court on site as well as twelve different all-weather tennis courts. Raveneaux offers league playing, professional instruction, and free play throughout the week. There is also a Jr. Olympic swimming pool which is open year round for swim-meets, casual swim, and those who just wish to lounge around.
The prestigious homes of Raveneaux offer golf course views and are elegantly designed. The most elegant homes start in the $500,000 range and move up in price from there to over $1,000,000. These estates offer 4-5 bedrooms traditionally though upgrading to additional bedroom may be possible. Looking grand and regal, like the manors of England, the homes are made of brick with lush landscaping surrounding them. Three car attached garages, large, gourmet kitchens, built in bookshelves in private libraries or studies, cathedral ceilings, two story (grand) foyers and great rooms, French doors, and large windows are just a few of the many amenities that are available at Raveneaux.
