Reynolds Plantation on Lake Oconee, GA
Just 75 miles east of Atlanta is Reynolds Plantation, a lakeside residential golf community along 50 miles of Lake Oconee. The community is designed to revolve around golf with four championship courses, making Reynolds Plantation the perfect place for the golf enthusiast to call home. Located on land formerly used for hunting and fishing by British Royalty, the community is in a fantastic setting for golf.
First of the courses is the Plantation course designed by Bob Cupp with Fuzzy Zoeller and Hubert Green. When it opened in 1988, it was recognized as one of the top new courses in the country.
The second championship course is a Jack Nicklaus design. Great waters championship course is 7,048 yards long and offers a challenge to any player. The course is decorated with forest, rolling hills, and waterfront holes offering variety and challenge. With a number of tee boxes, the course is playable for most any level of golfer.
Third is the Reynolds National course designed by Tom Fazio. From the championship tees, the course measures 7,015 yards, but offers four sets of tees. Decorating the course are Lake Oconee, hardwood and pine forests, as well as varied lakefront topography.
Finally, the Oconee course is a championship course designed by Rees Jones. It is a course for everyone with tees ranging from championship level all the way to 5,200 yards at the front tees. The lake comes into play on five holes so that golf at the Oconee Course offers challenge as well as a beautiful view.
