Riverwood Golf & Country Club in southwest Florida
Riverwood Golf & Country Club is located in southwest Florida, just one hour south of Sarasota and an hour north of Fort Myers. In an effort to offer a unique golf community life, Riverwood offers a course rated with 4-1/2 stars by Golf Digest, and a learning center with all the resources you need to improve your game.
The course is a par-72 championship track. The front nine winds through pine stands and heavy woods. The back nine is a contrast as it slithers through wetlands and salt marsh. There are no parallel fairways on this course and it is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and indigenous vegetation.
The learning center offers areas for chip, sand, wedge, and approach shot practice. There is also an 18 hole putting course to work on your green play. There is an opportunity to practice every club in your bag without leaving the learning center.
The community also includes a private beach club. Located on the Gulf of Mexico and just north of Englewood’s public beach, the facility is opened to owners of property in Riverwood only. Members must pay a one-time fee for initiation as well as annual dues.
The club itself has a 5500 square foot facility for showers, restrooms, drinking fountain, baby changing station, and even office area and storage. Its cabana style gives it a beach feel and tropical atmosphere to the club.
Residents will enjoy the convenient location of Riverwood. The Town Center Mall is a short commute away, as is the fishing in Boca Grande, several hospitals, and wonderful school districts. Riverwood offers options for buying property as well as rental options to accommodate a wide range of budgets and home needs.
