The Royal Kunia Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii is another course inspired by native Hawaiian Robin Nelson. Originally, the Country Club was built as a private interest Golf Club for Japanese businessmen. At the time of it’s opening in the early 1990’s the course was only allowed to be played by a few privileged individuals. However, after a series of ownership changes and an agreement with the city of Honolulu, the Royal Kunia was opened to the public in 2001.

The course is praised as being one of the most professional courses in Hawaii for both beginners and seasoned players. With 101 bunkers, sand traps, dips, hills, and water hazards the course was eagerly anticipated by golf enthusiasts who had been waiting years to play on it. Of course, the scenery isn’t so bad either, since its located overlooking beautifully, historical Peal Harbor.

The course offers a 72 par game with shifts in the weather from the ever changing Pacific Ocean breeze. This just adds to the challenge of the course. In the beautifully designed clubhouse golfers can not only find a one of a kind pro shop with brand name golfing and sports merchandise, but also a casual dining facility that is reasonably priced making it an excellent choice for golfers on any type of budget.

The community of Royal Kunia is located above the Ewa Plain of the Royal Kunia golf course. Residents of Royal Kunia can purchase single family homes or detached condominiums for nearly any budget. The development of a Royal Kunia Community Park and Community Center offer many additional recreational opportunities for residents. However, until then they can still partake in sailing, sightseeing, beach activities such as surfing, swimming, sun bathing, and building sand castles, roller blading, bicycling, running/jogging, and various other outdoor activities.

There are a few different floor plans which can be chosen by future residents of Royal Kunia. The Pointe offers the most elegant living in four distinct layouts. Wide open spaces and indoor/outdoor homesteads are the key to improving these contemporary homes. The Expressions 2 offers three and four bedroom homes and up to 1,555 square feet of space. Regardless, of what home you choose, the Royal Kunia seems to have a bit of something for everyone in a setting that can only be considered paradise.
