Houston Texas is home to the first Texas signature championship course designed by Master Champion Golfer Fred Couples. The key was to mix traditional golf course features with the latest challenges to provide a maximum level of game play. Mr. Couples designed the course with golfers of varying levels in mind. Beginners will find the course as pleasure-filled and comfortable as professional golfers will. The golf course spans 7,033 yards and offers par-72 playing on an 18-hole course.
The challenging course offers nine different lakes for water hazards as well as scenery, rock walls, and multi-level greens. Practice facilities are available for playing a short game or just putting and practicing your swing. Golf carts are available for rental and members of the course often congregate at the clubhouse before and after a good game of golf.
At the main clubhouse there is the chance for fine dining while taking in beautiful views of the course which contain waterfalls on at least two different holes. The Royal Oaks Sports Club also offers a tennis complex with six lighted tennis courts and one stadium tennis court, an aquatic center with water park, lap pool, and family swimming pool, a manicured lawn with everything you need for a game of croquet, and playground for children called the Tot Stop.
