Seven Canyons
When golf architect Tom Weiskopf first saw the piece of land that he had to work with in building the Seven Canyons course, he said it “took his breath away.” Later he commented, “From sunrise to sunset, the colors of the red rock canyons and cliffs change, making every minute of the golf experience incredibly different and unique.” The 200-acre residential community is entirely surrounded by the Coconino National Forest with its soaring pines and red rock canyons, Red Rock Secret Mountain Wilderness, and unparalleled Oak Creek Canyon.
Area amenities include 280 miles of forest bicycle paths and 500 miles of horseback-riding trails; trout fishing in Oak Creek; and the forty shops, galleries, and restaurants of Tlaquepaque, as well as the many fine art galleries located in Sedona. Seven Canyons offers thirty 1- to 2 ½-acre estate sites at around $2.5 million, each carefully selected to showcase the terrain’s natural features. Twelve casitas will be available on a shared-home basis. For $405,000, co-owners can be assured of four pre-reserved weeks per year plus unlimited time according to space availability. The 2,500-square-foot villas have antique wood beams and floors, indoor and outdoor dining and cooking areas, native stone foyers and entryways, plasma television sets, individual spas, and indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
The par-70 course plays at 6,746 yards and has been named one of the Top 10 new private courses in America as well as Number 1 in the Southwest. The Practice Park consists of a 5,000-square-foot practice green, twenty-five hitting stations on 20,000 square feet of teeing area, four target greens, and a chipping area with a practice bunker. The Club Village, beautiful native stone buildings connected by courtyards, offers a golf shop, lockers, lounge, dining, swim and tennis club, and holistic spa and wellness center.
