Seville Golf Club

Among the citrus orchards and watermelon fields about 40 miles from Phoenix sits the lovely Seville Golf Club, a Tuscan-inspired, tiled-roof oasis with stucco buildings, towers, and arches. Seville opened in March of 2005 with six neighborhoods and many gorgeous home style choices ranging in price from the low $340,000s to the $550,000s. The 3,000 homes varying in size from 1,200 to 3,400 square feet will be connected by a system of walking paths.

Golf Architect Gary Panks said about membership in the Seville Golf Club that it’s “one of the best bargains going right now,” and that “They didn’t skimp on the amenities.” Panks has been honored many times over for his courses with prestigious awards from Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, and others. His “Principles of Design” include attention to the balance of every hole, harmony of design elements with the surrounding environment, contrast for drama, and variety of all of the above. He strives for overall unity for a consistent experience, comparable difficulty vs. fairness, and a high-degree of playability. He also likes to create signature holes by applying creativity to existing site opportunities.

The pristine, par-72 course is considered very playable, with five sets of tees, from 5,350 to 7,015 yards. The design starts with open, sizeable fairways before tightening up the play with obstacles. Generous landscaping includes plenty of elevated greens and tees, seemingly endless rolling hills, and eye-catching native vegetation.

The 25,000-square-foot Sports Club includes a free-weights gym and aerobics studio with child care; volleyball, basketball, and tennis courts; and a mini-theater. Four pools, two waterslides, and a spacious playground are sure to keep the kids happily entertained.
