Stone Canyon Golf Club
The Stone Canyon Golf Club, in the Oro Valley just north of Tucson, is home to the country’s 17th best residential course, according to Golfweek magazine; Golf Digest named it one of the Top 10 Best New Private Courses. Jay Morrish designed the course to weave in and out of the natural landscape—a forest of heritage saguaro and colossal rock formations along the base of the beautiful Tortolita Mountains. This members-only course, always in pristine condition, includes a driving range with numerous tee and flag replacements, bunkers, and simulated greens.
Build your own custom home on a spacious Stone Canyon lot, or choose one of the unique designs by one of the Club’s excellent builders. Designer homes are also available in Tuscan Estates, 43 homes on 42 acres (guest house optional) at the western edge of the community. These Tuscan-style homes, ranging from 3,000 to 3,900 square feet, are built with native materials—stone, wood beams, textured stucco—for a look that blends beautifully with the rugged, almost magical landscape.
Membership in the spa-like stone canyon health and fitness club, available only to owners of homes or homesites, allows access to exercise, therapy, massage, Jacuzzi and steam rooms, tennis courts, and lap and wading pools. Members are aided by a full-time professional staff of exercise physiologists, massage therapists, and chiropractors, as well as activities and health/fitness coordinators.
The close proximity to Tucson, always on the nation’s “best place to live” lists, is a plus for Stone Canyon residents, with world-class arts, shopping, and dining just twenty minutes away.
