The Boulders
The Boulders is both a private club and a resort, offering residents the best of both worlds. Aside from priority access and special rates at the resort, members enjoy private access to one of the two golf courses on a revolving basis while the other is open to resort guests and the public. The 1,000-acre master planned community offers homesite lots from $299,000 to $875,000 and resale homes from $585,000 to $4,950,000. Membership is limited to residents and is capped at 445.
Well known as one of the best resorts in the United States, The Boulders was given a Number 2 ranking among golf resorts in the country, and Number 1 in the Southwest, by Travel and Leisure Golf in 2005. Recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award fifteen years in a row, The Boulders gets its name from the breathtaking beauty of the giant boulder formations in this area of high Sonoran Desert in Scottsdale.
Both championship, 18-hole golf courses were designed by Jay Moorish and have each received Golf Magazine awards as two of the top 100 courses in the U.S. The North Course at par-72, with 6,811 yards, and South Course, par-71, 6,726 yards, are also both considered among the most challenging for all experience levels. Still, the most memorable features of these golf courses may just be their stunning views.
Other Boulders community amenities include a fitness center with individual or group workouts, a tennis garden, rock climbing expeditions, and a swimming pool. The nearby el Pedregal marketplace provides the perfect outing with a tantalizing collection of specialty shops, restaurants, and art galleries.
