The Sawmill, Saginaw, Michigan
The Sawmill in Saginaw, Michigan was opened in 1997 and is conveniently located in the center of the state on 283 acres. Golfing is offered in the spring, the summer and the fall in the beautiful Saginaw Valley.
The Sawmill course offers 18 holes of championship golf, beautifully designed by Jon Sanford. Golf prices begin at $13.50 and go to $48, with special rates given for seniors, Saginaw Township residents and after twilight hours. Carts are required for Saturday, Sunday and holiday play until 2 p.m. Monday thru Friday carts are required 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Four different tees offers challenges for every level of golfer. Tee distances measure 6900 feet across the course.
Two golf pros are available for lessons by appointment. There is also a practice range on site. Non-metal spikes are allowed on the course and collared shirts are required attire for all golfers at all times.
The housing community is growing rapidly. Housing is available for single families in the range of $200,000 to $600,000. Houses in the community include two story, traditional, modern and ranch style layouts. Each house has beautiful views, surrounded by trees with the golf club nearby.
The Sawmill Golf Community offers membership specials like discounts on guests, priority with tee times and a membership only league.
Saginaw, Michigan offers a variety of shopping, dining and entertainment for every lifestyle. Casual, fine and family dining establishments are with a fifteen minute drive from the Sawmill. A short ten minute drive takes you to the airport with International jet service. From Saginaw, Detroit is less than a two hour drive southeast, Lansing is sixty miles south and Grand Rapids is two hours southwest.
