Torreon Golf Club
Located in the White Mountains northeast of Phoenix, at an elevation of 6,350 feet, sits the Torreon Golf Club, a private community in its final development phase. Available home sites run from the low $100,000s to the high $200,000s; golf course lots come with a Golf Membership. Homes are selling for an average of $468,533. The area is a wonderland of desert wilderness with 600 miles of streams, over forty lakes, and 180 miles of trails. Nearby Sunrise Ski Resort adds to the long list of outdoor activities within easy reach of Torreon residents.
The 27-hole championship golf course designed by architects von Hagge, Smelek and Baril provides challenging and rewarding, year-round golf. Each nine-hole layout is played “out and back” for an 18-hole round. Three levels of membership are offered; residents are automatic recipients of an Association Membership with access to dining and all other club facilities except the golf club. The golf shop offers the most recent equipment and attire as well as private instructors to improve your game and your overall enjoyment of the course. Private club dining comes in many forms at Torreon, from the casual Torreon Grille and Patio to the Formal Dining Room and Patio overlooking the North Course and offering “French cuisine with a Southwestern twist.” A third restaurant, the Bar & Grille, is open to guests and the general public.
The 12-acre Family Center Complex offers nearly every amenity a family might want, including arcade games; a catch and release fly-fishing pond; equestrian center with year-round boarding facilities and summer riding lessons; kids’ golf holes and playground; an oversized swimming pool; basketball, sand volleyball, and tennis courts; and fitness center.
