The 7012 yard course was designed by professional Tom Fazio. It is home tot eh North Carolina Amateur tournament and the men’s ACC tour returns to the club year after year. During the design of the course, Mr. Fazio was given free reign with design, his main focus was the course and the environment, and home sites were planned afterwards. This has created a community rich in natural setting and focused on it’s golf course, instead of home development.
A 900 acre peninsula created from farmland, Uwharrie Point is surrounded by the Uwharrie National Forest and mountains. The Yadkin River and surrounding Indian folklore create an area rich in history as well as natural beauty.
