West Bay Club in Estero, Florida
Nestled on 868 acres in Estero, Florida is the West Bay Club. West Bay is a golf and country club community that gives residents a taste of life in one of Florida’s hottest region, between Naples and Fort Myers. The community is nearly surrounded by water, with the north bordering the Estero River, the east pressing against Halfway Creek and to the west is Estero Bay. The aquatic surroundings and warm climate give West Bay a rich and lush natural environment.
Opportunities for family activity abound at West Bay. There is West Bay’s River Park right on the Estero Bay that offers access to the Gulf of Mexico, canoeing, a butterfly and hummingbird garden, a playground, and a 1.5 mile Vita course. In addition, residents can enjoy the park’s lighted basketball court and all-purpose sports field.
The community’s crown jewel is its 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course designed by Pete and P.B. Dye. The course featured elevated greens, natural vistas, and a challenging round of golf. Two thirds of the holes even include water features for a spectacular view and exciting round. The course has been named an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary Course because of its environmental planning, wildlife habitat, resource conservation, waste reduction, water conservation, and outreach and education programs.
The Golf House is a 30,000 square foot building that overlooks the 18th hole. The main floor offers a large restaurant and bar area for members and their guests. There is also a smaller dining room for more intimate gatherings. Men’s and women’s lounges, locker rooms, and steam showers are also available in the Golf House.
